| Captain Mike Burt has been a United States Coast Guard certified Captain since 1994. He started boating as a young boy growing up on a small pond. There he discovered his love of the water. As a young man, that love brought him to Service in the United States Navy. He served for four years in Vietnam and the West Coast. When he was Honorably Discharged, he and his First Mate wife Cheryl moved to Southern New Hampshire. There they purchased their first boat, a small 16' motorboat. As their family grew with the addition of their daughter, they moved on to a 25' foot Owens. Three years later, his crew was complete with the birth of their son. In this time, Captain Mike and his family boated out of the Hampton River in Hampton, New Hampshire and from the Essex River in Essex, Massachusetts. After years of visiting the port of Newburyport, Massachusetts, Captain Mike settled there on a mooring. There, he has owned 3 more vessels and finally settled on his current vessel, Eleanor's Hope. The Merrimack River has been Captain Mike's port of call for over 20 years. From there, he has visited many other ports of New England. In 1994, Captain Mike decided to take his love of boating to a professional level and procured his Captain's License. Over time he has taken many different classes to hone his skills. He has taken many trips up and down the east coast of the United States and to Canada relocating vessels for various clients. Captain Mike and his crew uphold the strict safety precautions that keep both the vessel and crew safe in all conditions. It is with the safe, reliable and professional manner that Captain Mike and his crew serve the boating community EMAIL:captainmike@captainsservices.com PHONE: (603)944-5744 ~or~ (603)382-6582 |
